It’s a wrap! Keep an eye out for the November workshop.

The workshop day may have come and gone, but check back in for the November date.

What is the "level up your pitch" workshop

10 people

This will be a small group that meets at the meeting room at Espire Sports on Friday, October 3rd at 8am-10am. You will have your new one liner to use next time you get a chance to answer the question, "What do you do for a living?".

2 hours

This is a no nonsense meeting. Come with your office supplies and, if you want, 1 essential person. You can bring that 1 person you can count on to help with this. There will be coffee and lots of paper & pens. Examples and ideas will be flying around. My friendly and succinct leadership style will make the environment fun and fast paced. We won't linger on anything that's unproductive. Prepare to rock this.

A pitch that sells

Every time you run into someone, you'll know exactly what to say to awaken the inner buyer of your customer. People will pay attention, ask questions, and feel the pull to buy from you. Stop losing business with unclear messaging now.

And who are you, Kelly?

How being selfish is actually a good thing

When my kids left for college, I found myself staring at the walls, bored to tears of the mundane day to day. Out of my selfish desire to be busier, I got certified as a coach and I realized the training I received was exactly what I needed to help others. So it turns out that your selfishness is actually selfless if you do it right. Solve someone's problem and it will solve yours. We are all connected, you just need to know how to communicate it to them so they know you're the one who can help them.

Your Pitch is probably terrible

You lost them at hello

Don't start your pitch with your name. And if the second part of your sentence is, "and I am a "such and such" at "so and so company", you've totally lost them.

Tom Cruise zeroed in on the connection he had with Renee Zellweger when he had a "big win in his company" but no one to share it with. He told her he needed to "hear her voice and to laugh with her". She wanted connection and significance and he was giving it to her. He famously "had her at hello". You must become someone who speaks to the needs inside a person and you can have them at hello.

If you don't, people are bored as soon as you open your mouth. They won't hear what you have to offer, and they certainly don't feel a pull to buy from you.

You need a pitch that makes them feel something. People stop listening when you're boring, and they buy when they feel like you're connecting.

"If you confuse, you'll Lose."

Donald Miller, New York Times Bestselling Author & Business
